Description
The late 19th century entrance gates and railings at the drive to Rhydgarnwen feature two slender cast-iron piers that are chamfered and include a plinth, cornice, pyramid cap with gablets, and a ball finial. The gates are made of iron and have a spearhead design, curving down to the meeting stile, with their lower halves reinforced by opposed paired semicircular rails. Additionally, there are two sets of curving spearhead rails that sit on low rubble walls topped with stone copings; the left set is convex curved while the right set is concave curved.
