Description

Penralltddu is a two-storey building constructed in grey squared stone, featuring rockfaced quoins and yellow ashlar dressings. The roof is covered with slate eaves and has fretted bargeboards along with paired stone stacks at the ends. The building includes a large rear wing and has a plinth with ashlar coping at the ground floor sill level, along with an ashlar moulded stringcourse.

The front facade has three windows, highlighted by a prominent gabled projecting centrepiece. The windows have chamfered ashlar jambs, sandstone voussoirs, and slate sills, with paired plate glass sashes. The central entrance features a pointed arch with 'JWB 1861' inscribed on the keystone, flanked by arched windows on each side wall. Inside the entrance is a panelled door topped with a radiating-bar fanlight. The first floor has paired sashes, and there are narrow vents in the attic.

The left side of the building is stuccoed and lined to resemble ashlar, while the rest of the structure displays exposed stone. The east end wall has a single sash window on each floor and a pair of vents in the gable. The rear wing includes a very large end stack, a big stair-light on the east side, a door with a traceried overlight, and paired sashes on each floor to the right, with the lower sashes having eight panes. The west side features an outshut with a two-window range of six-pane sashes.

The front garden is enclosed by spearhead iron railings set on a low brick wall that is coped in slate.
