Description
The Vicarage is a two-storey building constructed from squared grey limestone ashlar, featuring parallel slate roofs that are hipped at the northeast angle, along with two stacks at the south end. The east-facing front has four windows, with four sashes on the upper floor. On the ground floor to the left, there is a large three-sided stone bay window from 1879, which has 4-pane sashes, and to the right, two additional sashes similar to those above, both with marginal glazing bars. The building includes a raised plinth, a sill-band, and quoins.
At the southwest, there is a short service wing that is also two-storey and has a brick stack on the south side. The north end of the building, which faces the church, features a hipped porch from 1879 with an entry on the east side and a two-light window on the north side. Above the porch, there is a single 12-pane sash window. Additionally, there is a west end stack. Surrounding the property is a coped rubble stone garden wall that borders Church Street.
