Description

The War Memorial is a red sandstone cross situated on a stepped octagonal base made of grey rock-faced limestone. It features one high step followed by four additional steps. The cross stands on a red stone pedestal with rebated angles and finely lettered inscriptions on each side. The cross itself has a square base that tapers to an octagonal shaft, which is adorned with a finely carved depiction of the Crucifixion beneath a stone gabled cap.
