Description
11 High Street is a terraced house that is part of a stepped row of small narrow frontages. The exterior is finished in painted roughcast with an imitation-slate eaved roof. The building stands three storeys high and features one window range. A red brick chimney is located on the left side.
On the second floor, there is a horizontally-sliding casement window with two 4-pane lights. The first floor boasts a large late 19th-century oriel window with plate glass sashes and columns at the corners. The ground floor has a long window with 20th-century fixed 2-light glazing. Instead of a traditional doorway, there is a low square cambered-headed opening with a boarded door on the left side of the ground floor.
The interior has not been inspected, but it is connected to Nos 9 and 11 on the ground floor and features modern details and plastered beams. There are also two iron columns within the shop window. It is reported that the building has close-spaced beams and a cellar.
