Description
16 and 18 Kensington Street are a pair of terraced cottages dating from the 19th century. They feature painted roughcast cladding and have imitation slate roofs with a shared brick chimney stack in the center.
No 16 has a two-storey elevation with two windows. The upper floor has a single semi-circular headed sash window on the right, which includes interlacing tracery. On the ground floor, there is a 9-pane sash window to the left and a square-headed doorway to the right, which is aligned with the upper window. The door is half-glazed, with glazing that reflects the shape and tracery of the upper window. There is a single stucco-clad step leading up to the door. Previous listings mention a grouted cement roof and a door with two long panels.
No 18 has a two-storey elevation with three windows and is clad in pebbledash. The sash windows do not have glazing bars and feature painted reveals. The ground floor window is offset to the left next to a recessed four-panel door, with a blocked-up entry to the left.
