Description

Kensington House is a two-storey, three-window terraced house dating from the 18th century. The exterior is whitewashed roughcast, topped with a grouted cement roof that sits lower than the neighbouring properties. A rendered stack is situated on the right-hand side. The house features 12-pane sash windows, larger on the ground floor, with a central doorway. All openings are offset slightly to the left. A four-panelled door, with a shallow overlight, is set within an eared stucco surround and a keystone, above a stucco plinth. The door was replaced after 1978. In 1978 the interior included an entrance hall with a semi-elliptical arch, where panelling was missing, alongside six-panelled doors leading to downstairs rooms and a contemporary staircase to the rear.
