Description
23 Hamilton Terrace is a house dating from around 1800 that has been altered over time. It is clad in 20th-century cedar shingles and features an imitation slate roof, with a rendered stack on the west end. The building is three stories tall and has a three-window range. The original small pane sash windows have been replaced with long-paned six-pane sashes on the upper floor. The first-floor windows consist of three panes over a single pane, while the ground floor has broad fixed plate glass windows.
The entrance features a central six-panel door with an overlight above and a cambered head. Inside, there is an inner door with a fanlight, a dog-leg staircase with thin column newels, stick balusters, and moulded tread ends.
