Description
Nos 8 and 10 are terraced houses that have been converted into flats. They are positioned at an obtuse angle along the street. The buildings feature painted lined stucco and have a slate roof with close eaves. The original bracketed moulded eaves cornice has been removed since 1974. The end wall is rendered, and there are ridge stacks. The properties have a basement and four storeys, with No 8 having three bays and No 10 having two bays. The upper floors have large 12-pane sash windows that are regularly aligned. The ground floor windows and doors have been altered. No 8 features a pair of horned sashes on the left, a single horned sash in the centre, and a recessed door in a broad opening on the right, which has a 20th-century door with sidelights and an overlight. There is a footscraper at No 8. No 10 has a door with an overlight on the left, positioned to the left of the windows above, and a pair of horned sashes on the right. Both properties have wrought iron area railings with matching gates leading to the basement steps at each end return, and one corner rail features an anthemion finial. The interior has not been inspected but is said to be wholly altered.
