Description
The Pembrokeshire Yeoman is a public house dating from the 18th century. It features painted stucco and roughcast walls, a close-eaved slate roof, and brick stacks at either end. The building stands two storeys high and has a three-window range that is offset to the right. The ground floor is finished in stucco, with a band at the first floor sill level, while the upper part is roughcast. The windows have plain raised shouldered surrounds and all have been replaced with 16-pane sash windows.
The central door, which is recessed and from the 20th century, was originally a six-panel door and is set in a plain chamfered and stopped raised surround, topped with a moulded cornice supported by scrolled console brackets, similar to those found on No 9. To the far left, there is a 20th-century four-panel door leading to a through passage, which was formerly a boarded door.
Inside, the space has been opened up, but the ground floor left room still retains a 17th-century chamfered beam with ogee stops. There is a small fireplace on the rear wall, and two pine beams are present in the rear wing.
