Description

The range of outbuildings located to the rear of Hamilton House is constructed from rubble stone and features roofs that are mostly covered with grouted slate. The western end of the building is two stories tall, while the eastern end is a single story.

The western range has had its roof cladding removed in 1989 on the southern front. It includes three small boarded loft windows above, with a ground floor that has a central door and a window to the left, both framed with stone voussoirs. There is a loft window at the western end, also with stone voussoirs, and the rear has a partly outshut with a curved northeast angle. A loft door is located to the left.

On the eastern end, outside stairs lead to the loft and are integrated into a long single-story range, which has a full-height opening above a covered flight of stone steps that ascend from both the left and right. To the right of the steps, there is a door with a stone cambered head that leads to a five-bay barn. Adjacent to this, under a continuous roof, is a four-bay barn that features a row of brick dove-holes beneath the eaves and a central door with a stone head. Additionally, there is a low addition on the eastern end that has a door at the front.
