Description

This is an early 19th-century house that has undergone alterations to its front façade in the late 19th or early 20th century. The building is constructed of rubble stone, with a roughcast finish on the front and raised cement dressings. It has a gabled slate roof, with end stacks made of purple stone. The south end of the roof is clad in slate.

The front of the house features a two-story, three-window arrangement. Plate glass sash windows are positioned above, while tripartite sash windows are located below. A central four-panel door is topped with a traceried overlight. To the north, the former Post Office section has a whitewashed rubble stone front. It contains a door, window, and another door, all framed by cambered brick heads and brick jambs, along with a large window. This section has a monopitch roof.

The front garden of the house is enclosed by low roughcast walls. A post box is situated between the house and the former post office, displaying a monogram of Edward VII.
