Description
This is a small pointed tunnel vaulted chamber located in a rubble-faced earth bank to the west of Trewellwell. The chamber has a low entry beneath a stone lintel. Inside, it measures approximately 2 meters long by 1 meter wide, featuring a seat at the northern end and a vent loop at the southern end where the retaining wall returns to the west. The purpose of the chamber is unknown, but its construction appears unusually robust for an animal shelter or potato store, especially given the presence of a seat inside.
