Description
Low Cottage, attached to the west end of Panteurig, is an early 19th-century farmhouse built from rendered and whitewashed rubble stone, topped with grouted slate roofs. The building is two stories tall and has a T-shaped plan, with a long wing that extends forward from the center of the original house, featuring a half-hipped gable. The original house includes a large stone stack at the west end and a stone stack at the east end, while the wing has a stack on its west side wall.
The original house has a door located in the angle to the left of the wing, with a 12-pane sash window closely to the left and a small 9-pane sash window above. The 12-pane sash window has a brick cambered head. The wing features a slight projection on its west side at the angle to the front door, which includes a 12-pane stair light, also with a brick head. The end wall of the wing has a 12-pane sash window on each floor, and the east side wall has a door in the angle to the original house, which also has 12-pane sash windows on each floor.
There is a lean-to on the east end of the main range and a single-storey former cottage on the west end, which has a grouted slate west end stack, a small window, and a door and window on the front. Parts of the house were formerly slate hung.
