Description
Trehilyn East is an early 19th century farmhouse built from whitewashed rubble stone, topped with a grouted slate roof and featuring stone stacks at the end walls. The house has a two-storey, three-window front that is slightly asymmetrical. It includes 19th century four-pane sash windows with painted slate sills and painted brick cambered heads. Notably, the left window on the ground floor does not align with the window above it. There is a 20th century door that also has a painted brick head. At the rear, there is an outshut with a hipped roof over a projecting stair tower and an 18-pane window.
Attached to the right is a lower service range that has a large stone stack at the south end. This range features a four-pane window on the first floor above a 20th century window on the ground floor, with a door that has a painted brick head to the left. There is also a single-storey outbuilding attached to the right, which has a ledged door and a square window. Both the service range and the outbuilding have outshut rears.
The front yard of the house is enclosed by whitewashed rubble stone walls, which include square piers opposite the main door.
