Description

This building, occupied by Cofion bookshop, consists of a house over commercial premises, constructed of grey limestone with red brick dressings and a slate roof. It has four storeys facing Bridge Street and two storeys facing Quay Hill. The front has a gabled design with an 8-pane window on each floor, all set within red brick surrounds. The ground floor features a projecting shop with a lean-to slate roof, and the walls are angled inward to create a narrower front. The shopfront is a modern plastic design with red brick sides.

On the Quay Hill side, accessed by steps to the right, the two-storey elevation has windows positioned to the right. There is a four-pane horned sash window under the eaves, a small modern window at mid-level, and to the right of a 19th-century six-panel door, there is a large overlight with marginal glazing bars.

The shop premises are located on the ground floor, with a rear stair leading to a first-floor store. The upper floors can be accessed via a stair along the rear wall, starting from the Quay Hill entrance.
