Description

No 1 Alpha Cottages is a cottage with a painted stuccoed street facade, standing two storeys tall and featuring two bays. The roof is slate with close eaves and a stack at the left end. On the first floor, there is a 12-pane sash window to the right and a canted oriel window to the left, which has four panes at the top, twelve in the middle, and four at the bottom, with side lights that open and a moulded timber cornice above. On the ground floor, there is a larger 12-pane sash window to the left, which has been renewed since 1977, and to the right, there is an arched entry leading to a through passage with a 20th-century door and boarding above. A 20th-century glazed door leads into the house from the passage.
