Description
This building, occupied by Five Arches Gifts, is a house and shop dating from the 18th century. It features white painted stucco and a slate close-eaved roof, standing two storeys high with three bays. The design matches a four-bay range that includes the adjacent Bush Inn. The first floor has plate glass sash windows above the ground floor shop, which is adorned with a continuous entablature and cornice. There is a thin pilaster at the far left and two blocks in the frieze that indicate where two other pilasters have been removed to accommodate the shop window. A fourth pilaster remains on the Bush Inn to the right. The entrance includes a four-panel door with an overlight to the left, and the shop features 20th-century glazing on either side of a recessed door, with a narrow pane on the left and a wide pane on the right.
