Description

The building occupied by The Picnic Basket is a house and shop, constructed with painted stucco and featuring a close-eaved slate roof. It stands three storeys tall and has two bays. The second floor contains two 12-pane sash windows. The first floor showcases a large, later 19th-century canted oriel window, which consists of three sets of two-pane sashes and is topped with a moulded cornice. The ground floor features a 20th-century painted timber shopfront, which includes fluted piers on either side, a fascia, and a three-pane shop window to the left of a recessed door.
