Description
Felin Coed is a building with whitewashed earth walls and a zinc-covered thatched roof, featuring brick end stacks. The south end has a half-hipped design. It is a single storey with a loft and has a double-fronted facade that steps down significantly. The front wall includes a rubble stone base on the left, which rises to the door head, and the door is flanked by a yellow brick pier on the right side. The building has timber lintels, a six-pane sash window to the left, a ledged door in the center, and a low-set 12-pane sash window to the right. There is a loft light in the south end wall and a single window at the rear.
The roof structure is largely obscured but appears to consist of three pairs of curved principals, with the foot of the center principal scarfed on the rear wall. The interior features an upper kitchen, a central hall with tongue-and-groove paneling, and ladder access to the loft, as well as a lower parlour with an earth floor. In the loft, the underthatch is visible at the upper end, and there are no collars on the trusses. The center truss is tied at floor level.
