Description
Gelli Lodge is a single-storey building with an octagonal plan, slightly elongated, and features rendered walls that were originally cob. It has a thatched umbrella roof supported by eight rough pine posts, which were replaced in 1979. The central stack is made of rubble stone and has an elongated octagonal shape, complete with water tabling and a projecting cap.
On the southeast side, there is a pointed ledged door, while the east and west sides each have a small pointed window and a casement window with a pointed top-light. The north side features a larger window, which is a pair of casement windows with Y-tracery top-lights. The building has been left unfinished since 1980 and consists of small rooms surrounding the central stack.
