Tanllain and attached outbuilding and forge

Tanllain is a two-storey, double-fronted house with attached outbuildings, including a former forge. The house is roughcast with close eaves, featuring a stone stack on the left end and a brick stack on the right. The upper floor has two 4-pane sash windows that break the eaves under boarded gables, while the ground floor has two horned 12-pane sash windows and a framed boarded door with an overlight positioned between them. The left end wall shows some brickwork, indicating late alterations.

To the left of the house is a tin-roofed rubble outbuilding with a deep added outshut on the front. The forecourt of the house is enclosed by a mid-20th century brick wall with piers and rails. To the right is a rubble stone outbuilding of equal height, topped with a corrugated iron roof and featuring a single large door with a cambered head. Further to the right is another range with higher eaves, which includes a door situated between two windows with concrete lintels.

Inside, the house has late 19th-century interior details with boarded partitions. The forge shows signs that its roof has been raised, and it appears that the roof of the house was raised at the same time. The end wall has a chimney, a low door at the rear, a blocked door on the front wall to the left, and evidence that a central door was originally a window.
