Description
11 Quay Parade is a pair of simple classical buildings dating from the 19th century, featuring three storeys and three-window frontages. No 10 has a roughcast finish, while No 11 is covered in scribed render. Both buildings have rusticated quoins, plinths, and a cill band on No 10. They are topped with slate roofs and wide boarded eaves, with brackets on No 10, and have three rubble chimney stacks.
The second floor has no windows in the centre; No 10 has a blocked opening with a remaining cill, while No 11 conceals this feature. All windows have plain reveals, and No 11's windows are set in lugged architraves with ornamental keystones. No 10 features modern windows on the second floor, 12-pane sash windows on the first floor with broad stucco hoodmoulds at the centre, and 2-pane sash windows on the ground floor. No 11 has 9-pane sash windows on the second floor and 12-pane sash windows on both the ground and first floors.
The entrance to No 10 has a lugged architrave with inset pebbledash decoration and a recessed half-glazed door. The entrance to No 11 also features a lugged architrave with a keystone and a recessed three-panel door.
