Description

7a Quay Parade is a simple classical three-storey building with roughcast fronts and framing that features rusticated quoins, cill bands, and plinths. It has a slate roof with three chimney stacks, one of cement render and two of brick, along with wide bracketed eaves. The front of No 6 has two windows, while No 7, which includes 7a, has three windows. No 6 has small-pane pivot and sash glazing, while Nos 7 and 7a have sash windows without glazing bars. Both have lugged architraves and keystones. No 6 features a later wooden projecting neo-Georgian porch with a pediment, a modern panelled door, a five-pane fanlight, and panelled reveals. No 7 has a central segmental arched recess, which may have been a former coaching entrance, with lugged architraves. This has been later divided into two doorways with modern part-glazed doors and fanlights. There is an iron railing with finials leading to the basement steps.
