Description
3 Quay Parade is a pair of semi-detached houses built in a simple classical style, dating from the 19th century, with some decorative alterations added later in the century. The buildings are two stories high and feature three-window roughcast fronts. They have end pilaster strips, cill bands, and a plinth, topped with slate roofs and three cement render chimney stacks.
The windows of No 3 are 12-pane sash windows, while No 4 has 2-light sash windows. The ground floor of No 3 also includes a later rectangular window with two narrow casements flanking a fixed glazed center, all framed with lugged architraves. No 4 features keystones above its windows. The porch of No 3 has an asymmetrical architrave and a recessed six-panel door with a fanlight above it. In front, there is a low flood wall with a ramped walkway to the right and a higher protection wall under the doorway. No 4 has a later pitched roof projecting porch that includes 2-light sash windows and a half-glazed door, with roughcast end walls.
