Description
62 and 63 High Street are a pair of houses dating from the mid-18th century, with later alterations. They are constructed of squared sandstone and feature a pantile roof along with stone and brick stacks. The buildings are two stories high and have a four-window front.
No 62, located on the left, has a four-panel door, two of which are glazed, and three-light, small-pane horizontal sliding sash windows on both the ground and first floors. The openings have raised surrounds with keyblocks, and the area above the door is fasciated. There is a similar opening in the center of the first floor, which is now blocked, featuring a recessed flat-faced mullion.
No 63 has a 20th-century door and a three-light, small-pane horizontal sliding sash window on the ground floor to the right, along with a smaller similar window on the first floor. All openings have thin timber lintels. The house has stacks at the end right and in the center left and right.
