Description
G Jones is a three-storey building with two windows, featuring Victorian alterations at No 6. The front is made of scribed stucco and render, with moulded rusticated quoins. The roofs are slate, with bracketed eaves and brick chimney stacks. The small-pane sash windows at Nos 4 and 8 have architraves at No 4. No 6 has ornate architraves with keystones and bracketed cills, along with horned sash windows that do not have glazing bars. A central panel on No 6 reads "Masonic Hall" with a square and compass symbol. The Victorian shop fronts at Nos 4 and 6 include a plain pilaster at No 4 next to the shop window, which has keeled colonnettes and a splayed entrance with a half-glazed door, while there is a modern door to the right. No 6 features unusual bracketed end pieces over faceted pilasters, a modern fascia, a six-panel door, and a four-light shop window with large Gothic colonnettes. There is a modern shop front at No 8.
