Description
Nos 6 and 8 Bridge Street is a three-storey building with a three-window facade, finished in stucco and topped with a slate roof. The upper floor features three square windows: one is a 12-pane sash, while the other two are 16-pane sashes. On the first floor, there are two long 12-pane sashes and a 19th-century timber canted bay window with a four-eight-four pane configuration and a cornice. The ground floor has two large shopfronts, which likely matched originally and date from the mid to late 19th century, although the left shopfront has been significantly altered in the 20th century. The right shopfront is more ornate, featuring decorative fascia brackets at each end, a fascia, a cornice, and a door set back to the left with a five-pane shop window. The door includes an overlight and panelled reveals.
