Description
Nos 6 and 8 Bridge Street is a three-storey building with a three-window facade, finished in stucco and topped with a slate roof. The upper level features three square windows, including one 12-pane sash and two 16-pane sashes. On the first floor, there are two long 12-pane sashes and a 19th-century timber canted bay window with a cornice, which has four panes on each side and eight panes in the center. The ground floor contains two large shopfronts, likely originally designed to match and dating from the mid to late 19th century, although the left shopfront has been significantly altered in the 20th century. The right shopfront is more ornate, featuring decorative fascia brackets at each end, a fascia, a cornice, and a door that is set back to the left, accompanied by a five-pane shop window. The door includes an overlight and panelled reveals.
