Description
Crynfryn House, originally an unemployment benefit office, is a two-storey building with an attic and basement, featuring scribed render on its three-bay front, primarily designed around 1900. It has a steep slate roof and a broad cross gable adorned with a pediment and pendant, along with a four-pane roundel in the attic. The first floor has horned sash windows set in square recesses on the outer bays, while the centre features an arched-headed recess above the entrance, which has a console bracketed cornice on the raised ground floor and a modern door. The building also includes two-storey splayed bay windows topped with patterned slate lean-to roofs and ironwork window box holders above the cornices, as well as horned sash glazing with top ventilators. The rear of the building has some small pane sash windows. Modernisation for office use has removed much of the interior detail, although the main staircase has been retained.
