Description

This is a group of simple classical houses dating to the 18th century. The buildings are two storeys in height, with frontages of three windows each, except for number 1, which has two. The frontages are finished with scribed render and roughcast, featuring rusticated quoins, and pilaster strips at the ends. They have slate roofs, boarded eaves, and chimney stacks finished with cement render. The windows are mainly sash windows with 12 panes to each sash, although number 3 has modern windows. Each window is framed with lugged architraves, decorative keystones, and voussoir lintels. The detailing is similar around the doorways, except numbers 2 and 3, which have pediments above the doors. Number 7 has a six-panel door with a four-pane fanlight, while number 8 has a boarded and four-panel door with a similar fanlight. Number 9, which fronts onto Regent Street, has a single window facing Masons Road and a three-window entrance elevation to Regent Street, with matching detailing.
