Description
4 Masons Road is a simple classical building dating from the 18th century. It is a two-storey structure with three windows, except for No 1, which has two windows. The frontages are finished in scribed render and roughcast, featuring rusticated quoins and end pilaster strips. The roofs are slate with boarded eaves and cement render chimney stacks. The sash windows are mainly 12-pane, except for No 3, which has modern windows. The windows have lugged architraves with decorative keystones and voussoir lintels. The doorways have similar detailing, except for Nos 2 and 3, which are pedimented. No 7 has a six-panel door with a four-pane fanlight, while No 8 features a boarded and six-panel door with a four-pane fanlight. No 9 Regent Street completes the group with a one-window frontage to Masons Road and a three-window entrance elevation to Regent Street, displaying similar detailing.
