Description
1 Masons Road is a simple classical building dating from the 19th century. It is two stories high with a three-window facade, except for No 1, which has a two-window front. The exterior features scribed render and roughcast frontages, with rusticated quoins and end pilaster strips. The roofs are slate, with boarded eaves and cement render chimney stacks. The sash windows are mainly 12-pane, although No 3 has modern windows. The windows have lugged architraves with decorative keystones and voussoir lintels. The doorways display similar detailing, except for Nos 2 and 3, which have pedimented tops. No 7 has a six-panel door with a four-pane fanlight, while No 8 features a boarded and four-panel door with a four-pane fanlight. No 9 Regent Street completes the group, presenting a one-window frontage to Masons Road and a three-window entrance elevation to Regent Street, with similar detailing throughout.
