Compton House, which includes A M Garden Service and Family Video Centre, is a 2-storey building with an attic, featuring a 3-window classical front that is rendered. The building has a hipped slate roof with wide bracket eaves and a central attic gable that is slightly set back from the main eaves level. The first floor has 12-pane sash windows set within architraves. There is a swept out boarded cornice above a later shop front on the left, which has a splayed entrance and a glazed door. To the right, the cornice is supported by fluted pilasters with stepped bases, and there is a 6-panel door alongside a sash window similar to those on the front. The shop front extends around the corner, with a cornice running the full length of the left side and sash windows matching those on the front.
