Description
This building, known as the House, Popty Conwy Bakery (No 4) and Penny Farthing Sweet Shop (No 4a), is a three-storey structure with three windows. The lower storey features rusticated and painted blue walls, while the middle and upper storeys are roughcast with smooth-rendered banding and architraves. The slate roof includes a roughcast stack on the left side.
The shop fronts are paired and have panelled wooden end pilasters, with black glazed tiles on the stall risers. The right shop front (No 4a) has a single-light window, while the left (No 4) has a two-light window. Both entrances are recessed under panelled soffits and feature glazed doors with a lower fielded panel. Above the doors, there is a plain fascia and a moulded cornice.
In the upper storeys, the windows are slightly offset to the right. The first floor has two-pane sash windows on both sides, flanking a central smooth rendered blank panel that was formerly painted. The second floor contains three steel-framed casement windows in their original openings. At the rear, there is a lower wing with a tall brick stack.
The building has been modernised.
