Description
25 Alban Square is a simple classical terrace building dating from the 19th century. It consists of three two-storey fronts with three windows each, featuring scribed render. The central front includes Brynarthen and No 24. The building has slate roofs, wide boarded eaves, and three cement render stacks, along with rusticated quoins.
The windows are 12-pane sash types with lugged architraves and ornamental keystones on the first floor. The ground floor features segmental arched recesses with architraves and keystones, similar to the first-floor windows, except that the central segmental recess is replaced by a bay window that is splayed to the left. There is a modern bay window to the ground right of No 25.
The entrance to Llywelfa is arched and consists of two orders with a panelled architrave and keystone, leading to a three-panel door and a five-panel fanlight. Brynarthen has a lugged architrave and keystone with a three-panel door and a plain fanlight, while Nos 24 and 25 have half-glazed doors, with No 25 also featuring a lugged architrave and keystone.
