Description

Alma is a two-storey building dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of grey rubble stone with a slate roof and flat eaves. A stone chimney stack is situated on the right side, while the left side has a roughcast finish. The front features a three-window arrangement of hornless 12-pane sash windows, each with stone voussoirs and painted slate sills. An arched entrance is centrally located and accessed by a flight of concrete steps. The door itself has unusual panelling and a radiating bar fanlight, all framed by stone voussoirs. To the left, a basement area projects, housing a shop with a glazed front and a low-pitched corrugated-iron roof. A recessed door is positioned between the two-pane and three-pane shop windows.
