Description
Ty-Rhos is a pair of simple classical buildings dating from the 18th century, featuring two storeys and a basement for No 4. They have three-window roughcast frontages topped with a uniform hipped slate roof, wide boarded eaves, and two rubble end chimney stacks along with one in the center. The buildings have 16-pane sash windows with lintels.
No 4 boasts a pedimented late Georgian doorcase with panelled reveals leading to a semi-circular arched entrance, which includes a vertically panelled door and a 5-pane fanlight. No 5 features a semi-circular headed doorcase with distinctive details, including a rope-moulded hood supported by barley twist columns with plain bases. It also has panelled reveals, a 6-panel door, and a 6-pane fanlight.
The property is enclosed by low rubble garden walls topped with ironwork railings and gates. There are side passages, with an iron gate leading to No 4 and a boarded door for No 5.
