Description
6 Greenland Terrace is a group of simple classical buildings dating from the 19th century. They are two stories tall with three-window scribed render frontages and feature end pilaster strips at No 6. The roofs are slate and hipped at the northeast end, with wide boarded eaves. There is one cement render chimney stack and two rubble stacks.
The first floors have 12-pane sash windows with voussoir lintels, while No 8 has one modern window. The ground floor of No 6 features 12-pane sash windows set in segmental arched recesses with keystones. No 7 has two later splayed bays with lean-to slate roofs and two-light sash windows, and No 8 has 12-pane sash windows with voussoir lintels. The entrances are semi-circular arched, with a modern recessed door at No 6 that includes a 5-pane fanlight. No 7 also has a modern door with a plain fanlight, while No 8 features a 6-panel door with a 5-pane fanlight.
The properties are complemented by low garden walls with decorative ironwork gates and railings, particularly notable at Nos 7 and 8. There is also a boarded door within a semi-circular arched recess leading to a side passage on the right.
