Description
This building is a farm range attached to the northwest end of Brookside Farmhouse, dating from the 18th century, with a later 19th-century stable at the northeast end. It is two storeys high, constructed of coursed rubble with a stone tile roof and ornamental openwork bargeboards.
On the yard side, there are rubble steps leading up to a boarded door at first-floor level, along with a ground-floor door and a first-floor glazed window, both set under cambered stone voussoir lintels. There is also a later double door under a cambered brick arch, a gable end door, and a loft opening, all under cambered heads. The roadside elevation features four square window openings with shutters. The end stable has a door under a cambered stone voussoir head and a small glazed window with a timber lintel. Inside the older section, there are heavy chamfered beams and neatly cut joists.
