Description
The Grooms House in Cefn Bryntalch is a long brick building with one and a half storeys, topped by a plain tiled roof. The central entrance is highlighted by a moulded brick pediment that rises from a continuous brick string course on the east side. Tall, rectangular brick chimney stacks are symmetrically positioned on either side of the entrance. To the left of the entrance, there is a 2-light, transomed casement window featuring diamond-shaped panes. A second doorway is located towards the south end and is flanked by circular windows, known as occuli. Above, two gabled dormers break the eaves line, each with casement windows also featuring diamond quarries. The eaves are supported by wrought iron brackets.
On the north gable end, there are wide openings at both the ground and attic levels, topped with segmental arched heads. The ground floor includes a door and a 2-light window, which is likely a later alteration, along with another 2-light window nearby. Above these, a 4-light casement window with a transom and diamond quarries can be found. The south gable end is partially covered in tiles, and its eastern side adjoins the hall. The west elevation features one gabled dormer similar to those on the front, with a doorway to the left leading to a through-passage. There is also a 5-light leaded window under a segmental brick arch towards the north, along with three smaller windows that share similar detailing.
Inside the range, there is a bake house located on the right-hand side.
