Description
The coach-house and stables at Cefn Bryntalch date from the 19th century and are constructed of brick under a hipped tiled roof. The building is single storey with an attic and features a wide, central, full-height opening. A brick ridge stack is located towards the south. The entrance includes an inner archway with a keystone and a side entrance for pedestrians under a round arch. The main opening is fitted with wooden gates, and the exterior showcases distinctive brick quoining.
On the exterior, there are two gabled attic dormers with diamond leaded lights, although these have been replaced on the north side. The courtyard elevation features three coach-houses to the north of the entrance, each with double doors hung from separating brick columns beneath moulded stone lintels. The former stables are situated to the left (north) of the entrance, where there are two doorways with segmental brick-arched heads; one of these has been converted into a window. To the right of each doorway is a circular window with small panes.
