Description
Dan-y-Coed Farm features a multi-purpose farm building that includes a lofted cart shed and a cow house, with a later stable at the downhill end that has a lower roof line and is separated from the cow house by a vertical joint. The walls are made of rubble stone, and the roofs are covered with corrugated iron.
The cart shed, located at the left end, consists of two bays and retains a pair of boarded doors beneath a weatherboarded loft that has two shuttered openings. The cow house includes four lintelled doorways with split boarded doors and two shuttered loft openings. At the uphill gable end, there is a loft doorway along with an attached kennel.
The stable features two doors and two windows, all set under stone segmental heads. The left-hand doorway has double doors, while the narrower doorway to the right of center has a boarded door with an overlight above it. Additionally, there are two loft openings with boarded shutters. A farmyard wall is attached at the downhill end of the building.
