Description
Coedgwgan Hall features an U-shaped farm block that includes a central barn, a cow house on the left (west) side, and a granary and stable on the right (east) side. The structure is primarily built of rubble stone, with tooled stone quoins and dressings, and has corrugated iron roofs, except for the granary and stable which have slate roofs.
The barn has a central segmental-headed doorway with boarded doors, flanked by two segmental-headed doorways on each side, also with boarded doors. To the left and right of the center, there are gabled loading doors. At the right end, the barn is set back to create a small enclosed yard with the granary, featuring three boarded doors and a weatherboarded loft. The eastern wall of this area houses a dovecote, which includes a boarded door to the right and a weatherboarded loft with a boarded door.
The lofted cow house has segmental-headed openings, including two boarded doors on the right, an inserted doorway with a concrete lintel and a metal sliding door, a former doorway converted into a window, a split boarded door, and two wooden cross windows with iron bars towards the left end. There are also two asymmetrically placed gabled loading doors. The granary is timber-framed and weatherboarded, resting on saddle stones, and features double sliding doors with diagonal boarding.
Further to the right is a through passage that leads to the stable, which has two boarded doors and a cross window with iron bars between them, along with double boarded doors at the right end. The passage includes a pitching eye in the stable and a sliding loft door in the granary. The granary has full-height diagonal boarded doors at the rear. The gable end of the barn features three vent strips and stepped pigeon holes with stone ledges. The rear of the barn has two tiers of ventilation strips and boarded doors at the center and right end. The rear of the cow house has two tiers of vents under flat arches, equipped with wooden louvres.
