Clywedog Bridge, (partly in Nantmel)

Clywedog Bridge is a single-span, double-carriageway bridge constructed of rubble stone. It features a freestone arch ring with a prominent keystone, flanked by raked buttresses. There is a raised band between the buttresses located below the parapet. The abutments are slightly splayed, with the west side having two added battered rock-faced buttresses, while the east side has a similar broad buttress followed by a narrower one at the end. The parapet is topped with stone coping and includes a date-inscribed shield on the upstream side. Additionally, there is a concrete water channel against the upstream abutment on the east side, as well as a brick and corrugated iron lean-to built against the downstream abutment.
