Description

Llewellyn House is a late Georgian style, two-storey house that maintains its original external appearance as a pair of double-fronted houses. The right-hand (eastern) house is slightly smaller and older, while the left-hand (western) house features a cross wing. The building is constructed of coursed rubble with a slate roof that has projecting eaves. It includes two stone stacks on the main range and a tall lateral external stack on the cross wing.

The windows are primarily small-pane hornless sashes, with openings set under cambered stone heads. The right-hand former house has a central boarded door, a 4-pane sash window to the left, and a 12-pane sash window to the right. The upper storey features smaller 9-pane sash windows. The left-hand former house has a central door with vertical ribs, flanked by 12-pane sash windows, and smaller 9-pane windows on the upper storey.

The cross wing has two 12-pane sash windows on the lower storey, with the right-hand window originally being a doorway that now has boarding below the sill, and a 9-pane window on the upper storey. The left end wall of the cross wing features a 9-pane sash window to the left of the stack and a replacement 8-pane sash window to the right, both located in the upper storey. The rear of the building shows quoins to the right of the central stack, indicating the joint between the two houses and suggesting that the eastern end is the earlier section. The western side has 4-pane sash windows on each storey. The eastern side includes two small-pane windows beneath stone lintels and a 9-pane sash window in the upper right. The eastern gable end has a 2-light casement window in the upper right and an added conservatory.

The property has not been inspected.
