Description
Little House, also known as Gwerneirin Cottage, is a timber-framed building with whitewashed infill panels and a hipped slate roof that replaced the original thatch after 1920. It is a single-storey structure, with the roof space converted into an attic bedroom around the 1960s when a gabled dormer was added. The building features square panel framing without braces, consisting of nine panels long by four wide and two panels high. There is a 20th-century door within an open porch, and the timber windows have been renewed in earlier openings. A brick stack is present.
Inside, the door leads to a lobby next to the timber-framed stack. To the left is the living room, which has a central spine beam with ogee chamfer stops. A timber-framed cross partition includes doors leading to a parlour and a small service room. Behind the stack is a second service room or parlour, and the stack features a stone-built oven on the rear wall.
