Description

This is a tapered stone pillar with a gabled top, located northwest of Burgedin Locks. The pillar has lettering that was originally inscribed but is now overpainted, reading "Pool 6/Oswestry 9/". It is one of a series of mile markers likely erected after the Montgomeryshire Turnpike Act of 1756.
