Description
No. 2 Cross Houses is a terraced house, part of a row of three, built with a timber frame that features very slight scantling and painted brick panels. The timber framing is painted over brickwork on No. 4, which has a timber-framed east gable. The house has a slate roof with red brick stacks located between Nos. 2 and 3, as well as against the east gable of No. 4, rising through the roof of a former bakehouse.
This two-storey house has a single-window range on each floor, with a doorway. The windows are modern casements. No. 2 features a ledged door on the extreme left, set in an oak frame, and a long pair of casement windows in the center of each floor. The rear of the house includes a modern gabled brick addition.
Inside, there is a chamfered axial beam, a brick fireplace, and a narrow wooden staircase leading to the rear.
