Description
No. 2 Plough Bank is a mid-terrace house featuring a painted brick ground floor and a timber-framed upper floor with painted brick infill. The house has a steep slate roof with a red brick stack positioned on the ridge to the right. It stands two storeys high with an attic and has earlier to mid-20th century metal windows.
On the upper floor, there is a large gabled dormer with mock timber-framing set to the right, which is shared with No. 3. This dormer includes a pair of casement windows and a single casement window. The first floor has a triple casement window in the center, while the ground floor features a door to the left and a pair of casement windows in the center. The ground floor brickwork steps forward, which may indicate a casing of the timber-frame.
Above the ground floor, the timber-frame includes small diagonal braces at the top left and right. Inside, there are two chamfered axial beams and a 19th-century fireplace with a high mantel.
